Opposites attract - that's an old age truth that applies in cooking, too. Today I'd like to share a recipe for chicken in sweet and spicy, honey mustard sauce.
Chicken is juicy and tender, while honey and mustard flavours are perfectly balanced, resulting in a velvety, slightly spicy sauce with an undertone of sweetness. You can serve it with your favourite starch - potatoes, rice or pasta.

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts (~400 - 500 g)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Granulated garlic
- 50 g flour
- 20 g (~1-2 tbsp) oil
- 50 g (~3 tbsp) butter
- 80 g (~4 tbsp) mustard
- 60 g (~3 tbsp) honey
- 150 ml single cream
- 250 ml stock
- Fresh parsley
Method
- Cut chicken breasts into two equal halves.
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper and granulated garlic; dredge it in flour.
- Add oil to a deep pan and melt a tbsp of butter. Add chicken and fry it for 2-3 minutes per side at medium heat.
- Take chicken out of the pan to prepare the sauce.
- Turn heat off.
- Add remaining butter, mustard and honey.
- Temper cream with the contents of the pan and add it in.
- Turn heat back on and cook the sauce, stirring.
- Return chicken to the pan and cook, covered, for 10 minutes.
- Add chopped parsley and season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Enjoy!
